Opis pracodawcy:

The Engineering Design Center (www.edcpolska.pl) is one of General Electric (GE) global engineering sites, created in 2000 based on agreement between GE Aircraft Engines and Warsaw Institute of Aviation. EDC is providing engineering services for three GE businesses: GE Aviation, GE Energy and GE Oil&Gas.

Wymagania:

  • material or mechanical engineering degree preferred (candidates with less formal education will be considered if they have solid and relevant experience)
  • in depth knowledge on the most commonly used non destructive examination techniques (MT, PT, RT & UT). Certified NDE EN 473/Nordtest Level 3 in one or more techniques (level 3 in UT required)
  • 5 years of experience or more, preferably including yard or site experience (within Oil & Gas industry)
  • analytical skills combined with excellent problem solving skills
  • good communication skills and ability to cooperate in multidiscipline engineering groups
  • proactive, self-motivated and results oriented
  • ability to work independently and in team
  • good English skills, both verbal and written

Zakres obowiązków:

  • the NDE Engineer will be an integral part of the MCS Materials Engineering team responsible for providing engineering support on Non Destructive Examination to engineering, sourcing and quality control of GE Oil & Gas Subsea product portfolio (Manifolds, Connections etc.) in tenders and projects. This role involves
  • development and review of specifications & procedures for non-destructive examination for use in fabrication of subsea production equipment
  • review of contract requirements; Client’s engineering-, design- and fabrication specifications
  • customer contact - technical clarifications & meetings on non-destructive examination
  • provide input to requisitions, bid and purchases
  • technical evaluations of vendor / supplier proposed NDE techniques
  • review of suppliers’ non-destructive examination procedures
  • participate in pre-production meetings, and quality surveillance activities
  • disposition of deviations to NDE requirements from vendors / fabricators
