The Engineering Design Center (EDC) is one of GE Infrastructure global engineering sites, created in 2000 based on an Engineering Alliance Agreement between GE Aircraft Engines and Warsaw Institute of Aviation. Currently EDC is working on the products of three GE Infrastructure businesses: GE Aviation, GE Energy, GE Oil&Gas. www.edcpolska.pl
Requirements:
- at least MSc in Engineering (preferably Chemical Engineering)
- at least total 4 years experience in engineering
- experience in using Hysys or similar simulation tool
- dynamic simulation skills will be an advantage
- demonstrated written and verbal communication skills in English (French would be an additional asset)
- good interpersonal skills
- proactive approach to problem solving
- ability to work independently and in a team
Duties:
- preparation of dynamic process simulations of gas compressors and turbines systems
- supporting engineering in preparation of Root Cause Analysis of machine failures
- preparation of studies checking feasibility of new design solutions
- checking system performance during dynamic operations like start-up, emergency shutdown etc.
- general engineering support in any cases requiring process simulation
