Wymagania:

Master’s of Science degree in Engineering required, Electrical faculty preferred
4 years experience in related field or entry level PhD required
Solid knowledge in analog and digital electronics circuit design
Effective written and verbal communication skills. Writes and communicates critical reports. Drives complex design reviews, internally and with suppliers
Competent complex problem solving/troubleshooting skills for both components and subsystems
Competent in the use of PCs and associated software
Ability to promote a cross functional project team environment, communicate with Customers and lead small teams
Ability to provide technical problem-solving guidance to others
Working knowledge of standards and the ability to apply complex groupings of standards into designs. Ability to quickly learn, interpret and apply new standards
Solid use of DFSS tools and methodologies; solid knowledge of engineering quality systems (PLC, Engineering change, configuration management); solid ability to compute steady state results
Basic knowledge of RoHs, Pb Free and REACH standarts/regulations
Complete understanding of component functions and testing requirements. Understands manufacturing processes, drawings, geometric tolerances as well as shop standards
Ability to strategically prioritize based on business needs
Demonstrates leadership skills; ability to drive results across organizational boundaries

Zakres obowiązków:

Finding replacements of discontinued electrical parts and subsystems
Provide information of possible replacement parts, may also include design change suggestions, to the product engineering.
Support and execute component obsolescence strategies
Independently troubleshoots/analyzes system problems
Independently writes, performs and evaluates complex component tests
Ensures designs meet manufacturability, testability and reliability criteria
Performs work that involves conventional engineering practices, but includes a variety of complex features, such as conflicting design requirements and difficult coordination requirements
Adds critical input to engineering and supply chain strategies
Promotes and implements process improvements company-wide
Promotes a cross-functional project team environment, communicates with Customers and Suppliers
Provides technical problem solving guidance
Maintain approved vendor and preferred parts lists
Provides direct support of sales, manufacturing, purchasing and development by sharing information in the form of major/complex proposals and design reviews
May carry out complex or novel research assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques and procedures
Promotes and implements process improvements company-wide. May write product standard design guidelines
