The Engineering Design Center (EDC) is one of GE Infrastructure global engineering sites, created in 2000 based on an Engineering Alliance Agreement between GE Aircraft Engines and Warsaw Institute of Aviation. EDC consists of two companies: GE Company Polska Ltd. and Warsaw Institute of Aviation. Currently EDC is working on the products of three GE Infrastructure businesses: GE Aviation, GE Energy, GE Oil&Gas. www.edcpolska.pl
Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Good knowledge of mechanical design and manufacturing processes
- Experience in turbomachinery (rotor components) will be an advantage
- Some experience in finite element analysis (ANSYS preferred)
- Experience relevant to indicated position areas of expertise and knowledge of related disciplines
- Demonstrated English language written and verbal communication skills
- Team worker, hard worker, fast-learner, open- minded person, optimistic attitude
Duties:
- Manufacturing Support - evaluation and disposition of manufacturing nonconformance
- Service shop/ Field support– solving customer’s issues related to assign hardware
- Document technical data generated to substantiate the assigned components, assemblies and/or systems consistent with engineering policies and procedures
- Support for new suppliers qualification process
- Processing design changes
- Participate as a presenter in technical and program reviews
- Provide timely communications on projects status
- Formulate and implement plans to achieve technical requirements, schedules and contract commitments
- Execute with guidance the analysis, design to define and support the assigned components, assemblies and/or systems that meet business standards
- Customer sites visits when necessary
