Requirements:

  • master degree (required electrical, or related)
  • knowledge CAD-3D, preferably Pro/E or like CATIA
  • knowledge of the rules and principles of design
  • basic knowledge of technology, electrical and electromechanical and basic knowledge of materials science
  • knowledge and experience in designing cables and wire harnesses will be an advantage
  • knowledge of the tools and techniques of quality (FMEA, 8D, MSA)
  • fluent English, German would be an advantage
  • organizational skills and responsibility
  • ability to work in a team
  • background in Windchill-PLM is an added advantage

Duties:

  • definition of concepts, product specifications and technical documentations in line with customer and WABCO requirements
  • support of lead engineers for project related task
  • designing new cable harness & connector components
  • project coordination with cable harness & connector suppliers
  • project coordination with test departments & laboratories
  • release of products according product & test specification
  • support for design changes, cost reduction projects and claims support
  • maintain technical documentation
  • research for future connector & contact technologies and -innovations
  • perform technology studies
