Requirements:

  • we currently have a vacancy for a Project Engineer based in Ransbach-Baumbach, Germany.
After an initial assignment with an intensive 1-2 year on-the-job training in Germany, the job holder is willing to relocate to Russia or to other Eastern European countries.The successful applicant will be a Mining or Geology expert with 5 to 10 years’ experience preferably in the clay business
  • hold an degree in Mining Engineering or in Geology or have equivalent experience
  • have solid knowledge of the clay business or equivalent or be prepared to learn
  • ideally have experience with process engineering
  • be willing to travel extensively, mostly in Eastern Europe and Russia
  • have a good understanding of mining organisation models including Maintenance, Quarry and Quality. Knowledge of legal guidelines regarding labour law and permitting in an Eastern European or Russian context is an asset
  • be open for new ideas and have a strong entrepreneurial mind-set
  • speak Russian and English fluently
  • any additional (German/Eastern-European) language is an asset.
We are looking for a team player with well-developed people skills who is able to communicate on all levels and who is willing to relocate to Eastern-Europe or Russia. You will take up your responsibility as a hands-on problem solver

Duties:

  • reporting directly to the Operations Unit Manager Ransbach Clays you will follow an intensive training, learning the processes and acting as his right hand driving, managing and following up the activities in the sites, operationally as well as strategically
  • you will be responsible for the control of the production processes in the quarries and in the sites, optimising and developing the mining activities
  • you will be planning and developing the production concept of new and existing quarries
  • you will be coordinating the use of mobile plants between the quarries
  • together with the Site Managers you will be planning and coordinating the overburden works
  • together with the Operations (Unit) Manager you will be leading and supervising a team of quarry, lab and maintenance employees
  • you will be responsible for the investment planning of the sites closely liaising with the site managers and the Operations (Unit) Managers
  • in collaboration with your colleagues from Engineering, Production and other internal clients you will develop, execute and manage innovation and improvement projects from A to Z
  • you will actively cooperate with colleagues from the Technology Department
