On behalf of our Client, the largest engine manufacturer in Germany, located in the Berlin area, we are looking for successful candidate to fill the position of Aerothermal Engineer - Fans and Compressors (f/m)

Requirements:

PhD, Master or Bachelor degree in Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering or relevant science or mathematics degree subject with suitable experience in Turbomachinery aerodynamics and CFD
an ability to apply logical, analytical and innovative thinking on a range of technical problems
proactive, persistent and customer focused with a high level of self-motivation and initiative.
professionally working in Unix and Windows IT environment
good communication skills
good English, verbally and in writing
basic knowledge of German would be an advantage

Duties:

aerodynamic design, prediction and verification of world class fan and compressor systems and components, encompassing in-service fleet support, new product introduction, aerodynamic research and methods development
prediction of a range of aerothermal performance characteristics for fans and compressors using CFD and other methods
critical evaluation of methods and tools and driving robust and standardised improvements
aerothermal design for integrated fan and compressor sub-systems and components at appropriate level of detail and risk, using correct company procedures and processes
management and execution of work to support research and technology acquisition, working with partners and academia
