On behalf of our Client, the largest engine manufacturer in Germany, located in the Berlin area, we are looking for successful candidate to fill the position of Development Engineer - Installation Aerodynamics (m/f)
Requirements:
- engineering degree with major in Aerodynamics, Aerospace, or related subject
- excellent knowledge of and experience with CFD/CAA tools, preferably with the aerospace applications
- experience in using CFD codes FLUENT or HYDRA and grid generators such as Centaur, Gambit and/or ICEM
- good knowledge and experience in the specification and analysis of aerodynamic measurements and tests
- sound knowledge in high performance computing
- basic knowledge in airworthiness requirements and type certification process (Part 33 and 25)
- proficient use of English language, both written and spoken
- basic knowledge of German would be an advantage
- proficient communication skills within and outside of the company
- capable of independently organizing tasks and interfacing with other skill groups
Duties:
- optimise technical solutions which meet customers' aerodynamic performance expectations
- perform aerodynamic analyses including CFD, spreadsheet methods, and hand calculations, of the engine outer nacelle, engine intake, bypass duct, mixer/exhaust systems and thrust reverser
- aerodynamic analysis of engine integration issues with aircrafts
- support of new product development and research activities
- definition and analysis of full and model scale aerodynamic tests for validation and certification
