On behalf of our Client, the largest engine manufacturer in Germany, located in the Berlin area, we are looking for successful candidate to fill the position of Stress/Lifting Engineer (m/f)
Requirements:
- degree in engineering
- resourceful and result-oriented
- competent in performing stress and vibration analyses using textbook methods and commercial finite element solutions
- knowledge of low-cycle and high-cycle fatigue analyses
- experienced in the use of Microsoft Office software package
- good knowledge of English language, both written and spoken; Skills in other language are considered as asset
- basic knowledge of German would be an advantage
- strong communication skills for interfacing with external suppliers and various disciplines within the company
- integrate within the team and communicate proactively without borders
Duties:
- provide strength assessment and acceptance of gas turbine engine structures
- predict failure modes
- recommend design fixes
- provide fatigue life expectancy for gas turbine engine structures
- provide analytical solutions for root-cause analyses of failure scenarios
- ensure compliance of parts with project requirements and all the applicable airworthiness requirements
- define component test requirements
- follow-up on test development and results
