The Engineering Design Center (EDC) is one of GE Infrastructure global engineering sites, created in 2000 based on an Engineering Alliance Agreement between GE Aircraft Engines and Warsaw Institute of Aviation. EDC consists of two companies: GE Company Polska Ltd. and Warsaw Institute of Aviation. Currently EDC is working on the products of three GE Infrastructure businesses: GE Aviation, GE Energy, GE Oil&Gas. www.edcpolska.pl
Requirements:
- master’s/bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related fields - both graduates and experienced engineers are encouraged to take part in the recruitment process
- minimum 3 years of experience
- knowledge and understanding of engineering tools, including software for 3D solid modeling and Finite Element Methods (FEM) (UNIGRAPHICS, ANSYS or CATIA/Patran/Nastran) will be an advantage
- knowledge and understanding of technological processes (previous industry experience will be an advantage)
- good command of both spoken and written English
Duties:
- low pressure turbine components design, production and service support - blades, nozzles, shafts, discs, structures
