You will be part of High Voltage Cables, ABB in Sweden. Here, we develop, design and manufacture high voltage cables for installation on land and offshore. Today, we are approximately 500 employees, 200 at the office and 300 in the workshop. The unit is one of the world’s most complete suppliers of cable systems for the highest possible voltages. We create efficient, environmentally friendly and sustainable high technological energy transmissions, which are used all over the world.

Requirements:

master in Engineering with specialization in Electrical Power, or equivalent work experience
you are used to execute calculations and have perhaps worked with dimensioning of grids or with electrical dimensioning of products and systems
experience of Excel programming, FEM calculations, Comsol and Matlab is qualifying
proficiency in written and spoken English is required, whereas additional language skills are advantageous
you interpret advanced technical issues easily and enjoy the challenge that comes with problem solving. It is equally important that you are a responsive and helpful teamplayer who contributes to our fellowship and creative environment

Duties:

the need for offshore cable systems is growing steadily, especially on the European market where offshore wind power and a mutual energy market are prioritized areas. As a supplier of complete cable systems, we are in an expanding phase where you will be an important part of our design team
here, you will design customized system solutions and coordinate internal resources to meet customer requirements. During the process you are expected to answer our customers’ technical issues and to further improve our internal technology development.
