The Engineering Design Center (www.edcpolska.pl) is one of General Electric (GE) global engineering sites, created in 2000 based on agreement between GE Aircraft Engines and Warsaw Institute of Aviation. EDC is providing engineering services for three GE businesses: GE Aviation, GE Energy and GE Oil&Gas.

Requirements:

  • due to rapid developement of Oil&Gas sector, Engineering Design Center is looking for mechanical engineers to work for the design of steel structures and subsea equipment used in the extraction and processing of oil and gas. Person in this position will be responsible for the design of steel structures in accordance with applicable standards and customer requirements
  • bachelor or master degree in engineering (mechanical, mechanical engineering, ocean engineering prefered)
  • good knowledge of CAD systems (etc. Pro/Engineer, AutoCad)
  • practical knowledge of the steel structures design
  • experience with industry standards commonly associated with oil and gas production
  • good English verbal and written communication skills
  • skillful demonstration of shared commitment to team success and working well with others internally and externally
  • maintain the required on time delivery and technical quality of work

Duties:

  • designing of subsea manifolds, subsea connection systems and other steel structures such as supports and fittings used in subsea oil and gas processing.
  • modification of existing equipment
  • preparation of technical documentation
  • work closely with the foreign customer
