The Engineering Design Center (EDC) is one of GE Infrastructure global engineering sites, created in 2000 based on an Engineering Alliance Agreement between GE Aircraft Engines and Warsaw Institute of Aviation. EDC consists of two companies: GE Company Polska Ltd. and Warsaw Institute of Aviation. Currently EDC is working on the products of three GE Infrastructure businesses: GE Aviation, GE Energy, GE Oil&Gas. www.edcpolska.pl
Requirements:
- master's degree from an accredited university or college
- at least 8 additional years of experience leading multi-disciplined engineering / IT teams
- ability to guide and lead others not in a direct reporting relationship
- strong oral and written communication skills
- strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- demonstrated program management ability with the ability to quickly build credibility to influence and make recommendations to all levels of the organization
- exhibit strong cross-functional team skills working seamlessly across heavily matrixed structure, especially with Global Development Center (GDC) consultants and vendors
Duties:
- The Engineering Tools CoE (ETCoE) EDC Senior Project Manager demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional area(s) of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy.
- - Responsibilities:
- provide leadership and direction as a liaison between the global ETCoE (US, EDC, BEC, GEIQ) and GE Global Research teams, and the global Energy, Aviation, and Transportation Engineering design teams
- establish a centralized presence at EDC for ETCoE, coordinate staffing, operation & work plans / deliverables, and monitor / communicate progress in delivering engineering tools capabilities at EDC
- work closely with the design teams at EDC to establish short term and long term engineering tool development plans
- conduct continuous assessment and Gap Analysis of PMM Processes and standards, facilitating Project and Tollgate Review calls as well as enforcing process adoption, and standardization of PMM deliverables
- create Project Dashboards and Scorecard- Leverage New Tools and Technologies
