The Engineering Design Center (EDC) is one of GE Infrastructure global engineering sites, created in 2000 based on an Engineering Alliance Agreement between GE Aircraft Engines and Warsaw Institute of Aviation. EDC consists of two companies: GE Company Polska Ltd. and Warsaw Institute of Aviation. Requirements:
- MSc in Mechanical Engineering
- minimum 3 years of demonstrated design experience in gears, bearings, shafts and other transmission components
- strong technical and problem solving skills
- familiarity with FEM and CAD systems
- communicative English, both written and spoken
- good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
Duties:
- design and analysis of mechanical systems, including bearings, shafts, gears, seals, lubrication and pressurization components
- manufacturing support: nonconformance disposition and vendor change
- processing design change documents
- participation as a presenter in technical and program reviews
- providing timely communications on projects
