The Engineering Design Center (EDC) is one of GE Infrastructure global engineering sites, created in 2000 based on an Engineering Alliance Agreement between GE Aircraft Engines and Warsaw Institute of Aviation. EDC consists of two companies: GE Company Polska Ltd. and Warsaw Institute of Aviation. Currently EDC is working on the products of three GE Infrastructure businesses: GE Aviation, GE Energy, GE Oil&Gas. www.edcpolska.pl
Requirements:
- BS degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Controls Engineering in Power Generation/Delivery
- rotating equipment experience in the power or oil & gas industry
- understanding of gas turbine and/Generator Electrical performance
- proficient in use of computers and PC hardware, MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook & Word
- strong interpersonal and communication skills
- fluent English written & verbal skills essential
Duties:
- provide engineering support to the Sales team for project development and proposal preparation
- Engineering Project Lead including leadership of a project group
- review customer inquiries and project requirements to establish scope of supply limits and costing for sales proposals
- develop detailed comments to customer inquiries and specifications. Interface with vendors to obtain quotations for project specific equipment
- provide thermodynamic cycle support. This includes interacting with Sales, Customers and Engineers to provide relevant gas turbine performance, emissions, and guarantee information for all projects
- schedule, conduct, and evaluate field test data to determine pass/fail on guarantees submitted to customers
- represent engineering with ownership of technical matters at customer meetings
- prepare and communicate results and recommendations
- some international travel required
