The Engineering Design Center (EDC) is one of GE Infrastructure global engineering sites, created in 2000 based on an Engineering Alliance Agreement between GE Aircraft Engines and Warsaw Institute of Aviation. Requirements:
- Technical University education in the field of mechanical engineering
- knowledge of couplings and cears
- creative and independent
- knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Office
- familiarity with technical documentation
- willing to develop technical skills connected with the job
- good team worker, able to cooperate with other departments
- good organization skills (ability to perform multitasks)
- good English communication skills (both oral and written)
- experience in coupling or gear designing will be additional trump
Duties:
- gear and coupling selection
- translation of customer technical requirements into purchase specification
- evaluation of torsional and lateral behavior of turbo-compressor, motor-compressor and turbo-generator trains
- documentation related to the supply
- attendance to customer meetings, carry out visits at site and at supplier workshops
- manage engineering and suppliers
- technical assessment of supplier offers
