Requirements:
- B.Sc., M.Sc. or PhD in material science/metallurgy or related subjects
- academic or practical background in materials science/metallurgy/welding/brazing/heat treatment
- good knowledge of the materials and their properties (stainless/heat resistant steels, nickel and cobalt base alloys)
- familiarity with special processes (welding, brazing, thermal spray coatings)
- very good verbal and written English
- good communication/cooperation/teamwork skills
Duties:
- provide technical expertise on materials for repair development projects
- advising on filler materials selection (welding, brazing) and heat treatment
- support of welding/brazing activities
- close cooperation with Materials Laboratory
- creation/review of material/welding/brazing specifications
- identifying of improvements in existing procedures/processes and develop cost effective solutions
- active participation in cost reduction projects/activities
