Employer description:

The Engineering Design Center (EDC) is one of GE Infrastructure global engineering sites, created in 2000 based on an Engineering Alliance Agreement between GE Aircraft Engines and Warsaw Institute of Aviation. EDC consists of two companies: GE Company Polska Ltd. and Warsaw Institute of Aviation. Currently EDC is working on the products of three GE Infrastructure businesses: GE Aviation, GE Energy, GE Oil&Gas. www.edcpolska.pl

Requirements:

  • BS Mechanical, Electrical or Control Engineering or equivalent
  • a minimum of 2 years of power plant or other relevant experience
  • experience with various reliability tools (Weibull analysis, failure rates, probability theory etc)
  • candidate must be thorough, accurate, with good communication skills and able to work with minimal supervision
  • ability to work with global team
  • familiarity with gas turbine system design and operations or equivalent
  • experience in statistics and Monte Carlo simulation
  • knowledge of GE Aeroderivative products or gas turbines
  • field experience in power plant maintenance

Duties:

  • perform analysis of unscheduled engine removals
  • investigate fleet fix effectiveness
  • perform reliability analysis (weibul, etc) on hardware components
  • support commercial teams with shop visit planning
  • gather data from various sources & use judgment to prioritize fleet reliability issues
  • support other reliability oriented data analysis and improvement issues
  • develop tools, processes & measures aimed towards improving RAM for the Aeroderivative fleet
