The Engineering Design Center (EDC) is one of GE Infrastructure global engineering sites, created in 2000 based on an Engineering Alliance Agreement between GE Aircraft Engines and Warsaw Institute of Aviation. EDC consists of two companies: GE Company Polska Ltd. and Warsaw Institute of Aviation. Currently EDC is working on the products of three GE Infrastructure businesses: GE Aviation, GE Energy, GE Oil&Gas. www.edcpolska.pl
Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering
- Good knowledge of CAD/CAE software (ANSYS, UG preferred)
- Fundamental understanding of the mechanical engineering, good proven analytical skills
- Experience in turbomachinery engineering design will be an advantage
- Demonstrated English written and verbal communication skills
- Team worker, hard worker, fast-learner, open- minded person, optimistic attitude
Duties:
- Execute with reasonable guidance the analysis, design for rotating parts/components/assemblies according to business standards, practices and procedures
- Formulate and implement plans to achieve technical requirements, schedules and contract commitments
- Assure proper documentation of technical data generated to substantiate the assigned components assemblies and/or systems consistent with engineering policies and procedures
- Monitor and communicate project status
- Participate in organizational efforts in design, analysis, test and manufacturing technology, quality productivity and other initiatives
- Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews
- Develop tools and methods used in rotor life predictions (e.g. probabilistic life prediction, macros and scripts) and update Design Practice as necessary
