The Engineering Design Center (EDC) is one of GE Infrastructure global engineering sites, created in 2000 based on an Engineering Alliance Agreement between GE Aircraft Engines and Warsaw Institute of Aviation. EDC consists of two companies: GE Company Polska Ltd. and Warsaw Institute of Aviation. Currently EDC is working on the products of three GE Infrastructure businesses: GE Aviation, GE Energy, GE Oil&Gas. www.edcpolska.pl
Requirements:
- Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 3 years design/university experience in gears and power transmission
- Knowledge of AGMA publications will be an advantage
- Experience in bearing design and/or lubrication systems will be an advantage
- Very good English, both written and spoken
- Experience in CAE systems (preferred ANSYS and UG)
- Ability to work independently, under pressure and changing requirements
- Good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
Duties:
- Design and redesign of accessory drives for aircraft engines
- Evaluation and disposition of manufacturing nonconformance
- Support for new suppliers qualification process
- Processing design changes for all type of power transmission components
- Participate as a presenter in technical and program reviews
- Provide timely communications on projects status
