The Engineering Design Center (EDC) is one of GE Infrastructure global engineering sites, created in 2000 based on an Engineering Alliance Agreement between GE Aircraft Engines and Warsaw Institute of Aviation. EDC consists of two companies: GE Company Polska Ltd. and Warsaw Institute of Aviation. Requirements:
- 3/5 years experience in engineering and/or technical areas
- knowledge of maintenance and installation methods
- solid knowledge of gas/steam turbomachinery and compressors units
- solid knowledge of turbine disassembly and reassemble during outages
- ability to understand and interpret drawings and specifications in area of responsibility
- ability to overcome schedule conflicts and define actions
- team player, interpersonal and project management skills
- ability to read, write and understand English
- excellent influence, communication and presentation skills
- Desired Characteristics:
- experience working as a Field Engineer/Technical Advisor
- skills in performing site survey to check existing units design and maintenance status
- deep knowledge of GE Oil & Gas equipment and relative operability
- proved experience in commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, programming and configuring gas turbines equipped with Mk-V and MkVITroubleshooting skills
- knowledge of international standard for GE Oil & Gas Business
- experience as Resident engineer c/o Customers or Site engineer
- capability to work in a very dynamic environment and in multi-tasking
Duties:
- Maintenance Engineer will:
- perform field inspections, condition assessments, and take field measurements; will provide, run, repair, replace recommendations for turbine components; provide technical support to engineering personnel driving design for installation and availability during CM&Us development
- assist in developing long-range plans and recommendations for turbine inspections, modifications, and upgrades, ensure execution of the maintenance plans in accordance to the established strategies, policies, standards or contractual needs
- ensure management experience in order to drive and develop short-term and long-term projects, in accordance to the established strategy, focusing on business goals
- develop and maintain technical specifications and documents related to maintenance and installation standards
- execute the design, analysis or evaluation of assigned projects leveraging on engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product/program requirements
- be responsible for work that is less defined in scope and has the understanding and experience to execute business objectives
- participate on teams assigned to address organizational initiatives and generic issues
- participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews
