The Engineering Design Center (EDC) is one of GE Infrastructure global engineering sites, created in 2000 based on an Engineering Alliance Agreement between GE Aircraft Engines and Warsaw Institute of Aviation. EDC consists of two companies: GE Company Polska Ltd. and Warsaw Institute of Aviation. Requirements:
- BS or higher Engineering degree from an accredited university in Mechanical, Electrical, or Power Engineering
- communicative in speech, reading and writing of the English language
- proficiency with MS Office, Power Point, Excel
- ability, no restrictions, willingness to travel domestically/internationally
- strong interpersonal/communications skills, both written and verbal
- DESIRED:
- gas turbine testing, packaging and commissioning experience
- previous Applications and/or rotating equipment experience
- gas turbine modeling experience, GTPro, APPS, Gate Cycle
Duties:
- provide technical support engineering guidance and support to the Aero Sales team for project development and proposal preparation
- review customer inquiries and project requirements to establish scope of supply limits and cost
- evaluate non-standard product requests, i.e. fuels, applications, capabilities
- work with customers and clients to obtain project specific quotations and information
- provide project specific thermodynamic engine cycle deck performance to Sales. This entails utilizing engine performance software applications to determine relevant gas turbine performance, i.e. power, heat rate, and emissions
