The Engineering Design Center (EDC) is one of GE Infrastructure global engineering sites, created in 2000 based on an Engineering Alliance Agreement between GE Aircraft Engines and Warsaw Institute of Aviation. EDC consists of two companies: GE Company Polska Ltd. and Warsaw Institute of Aviation. Currently EDC is working on the products of three GE Infrastructure businesses: GE Aviation, GE Energy, GE Oil&Gas. Requirements:
- BS degree from accredited school in Engineering - mechanical, chemical or process engineering preferred
- minimum 3 yrs gas turbine or power generation experience
- Desired:
- detailed knowledge of energy markets i.e. price trends, fuels etc.
- familiarity with aero-derivative gas turbines and package design (emphasis on fuel systems), emissions and performance testing. Combustion design/analysis experience
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal/written)
- self-starter with strong leadership and project management skills
Duties:
- in an energy market increasingly focused on fuel flexible product offerings, this position will be part of the GE Energy Aero Fuels Team that drives fuel flexibility initiatives across the business. Specific responsibilities include identifying fuel availability to customers; understanding and promoting fuel capabilities of aero-derivative gas turbines; and assisting regional Marketing and Sales teams in developing targeted sales campaigns to drive profitable growth
- identify and develop new growth opportunities for the application of GE Energy aero-derivative gas turbines and packaging, based on regional fuel availability and customer needs
- promote GE Energy Aero product technology and fuel flexibility:
- - provide support to Sales and Commercial Operation teams for Aero product competitive position, including development of customer-value propositions.
- - prepare technical presentations on GE Energy Aero product fuel flexibility including product features, performance, operation and maintenance
- - provide data to build Aero non-standard fuels experience and knowledge database
- interface with cross-functional teams to conceptualize and develop innovative fuel solutions for the customer. Provide engineering technical guidance and support to Sales and Applications Engineering teams for project development and proposal preparation involving non-standard fuel requests
- assist in resolving customer fuel issues in the field
- maintain strong knowledge of global customers, fuel market trends, fuel compositions/availability and aero-derivative gas turbine and packaging fuel capabilities
