Requirements:
- degree in an Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- sound and proven understanding of electrical power, transmission line theory and communications systems
- capable of utilising P-Spice / Orcad
- expertise in Mathcad, specifically the application of Matrices and FFT's
- confident communicator at all levels
- written and spoken English
- subsea Oil & Gas experience would be beneficial
- familiarity with relevant national and international standards would be the advantage
Duties:
- undertake provisional / preliminary Electrical performance analyses and identify key and marginal parameters as well as system expansion limitations
- generate a performance report ensuring that key system performance criteria and limitations are highlighted
- participate in R&D activities to support detail design activities as required by product specialists
- represent the company at client meetings onsite and abroad to support the analysis work
- attend site testing to support investigation / qualification work
