The Engineering Design Center (EDC) is one of GE Infrastructure global engineering sites, created in 2000 based on an Engineering Alliance Agreement between GE Aircraft Engines and Warsaw Institute of Aviation. EDC consists of two companies: GE Company Polska Ltd. and Warsaw Institute of Aviation. Currently EDC is working on the products of three GE Infrastructure businesses: GE Aviation, GE Energy, GE Oil&Gas. www.edcpolska.pl

Requirements:

  • MSC in Engineering and min 3 years of experience or BSC in Engineering and 5 years of experience with various reliability tools (Weibull analysis, failure rates, probability theory etc)
  • candidate must be thorough, accurate, with good communication skills and able to work with minimal supervision
  • ability to work with global team
  • desired:
  • familiarity with gas turbine system design and operations or equivalent
  • experience in statistics and Monte Carlo simulation.
  • knowledge of GE Aeroderivative products or gas turbines
  • field experience or knowledge in power plant maintenance
  • experience interpreting Borescope Inspection Photos or with engine hardware
  • design for Reliability modeling methods would be an advantage

Duties:

  • develop tools, processes & measures aimed at improving RAM for the Aero fleet
  • provide RAM modeling for NPI programs to drive DFR in the organization
  • perform reliability analysis (RBD, Weibull, etc) on package components
  • gather data from various sources & use judgment to prioritize fleet reliability issues
  • support other reliability oriented data analysis and improvement issues
