Requirements:

minimum 3 years Solid Works design experience
customer focused

continuous improvement
flexible and adaptable
ability to travel General
highly developed PC and systems capability with an excellent knowledge of Solid Works or a similar 3D design package
university degree in mechanical engineering or similar
experience in either Tool-making or machining would be an advantage
excellent communications skills capable of dealing with people/customers from all levels of the organization
strong problem-solving skills coupled with the ability to work to tight timeline

Duties:

design of tooling, components and blister packs using Solid Works design package
following instruction, design engineering projects, in line with customer requirements
ensure all work is carried out in an efficient and effective manner
effective management of the customer by liaising in an appropriate fashion on matters such as technical design issues or queries
lead the resolution of issues, or escalate where appropriate
interact and engage with other departments e.g. production, quality as part of the design process and specifically on larger or more complex projects
provide timely and accurate communication to both the team leader or design manager, as appropriate
support other project teams by sharing best practice, skills experience and previous learning’s
