The Engineering Design Center (EDC) is one of GE Infrastructure global engineering sites, created in 2000 based on an Engineering Alliance Agreement between GE Aircraft Engines and Warsaw Institute of Aviation. EDC consists of two companies: GE Company Polska Ltd. and Warsaw Institute of Aviation. Requirements:
- degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- minimum 3 years of documented mechanical design experience, preferably in gears, bearings, shafts, housings and other transmission components
- strong technical and problem solving skills
- familiarity with Excel, FEM and CAD systems
- good command of English, both written and spoken
- good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
Duties:
- leading engineering projects
- design and analysis of mechanical systems components, including bearings, shafts, gears, seals and housings
- analysis of aircraft engine’s lubrication and pressurization systems
- manufacturing support: nonconformance disposition and vendor change
- processing design change documents
- participation as a presenter in technical and program reviews
