The Engineering Design Center (EDC) is one of GE Infrastructure global engineering sites, created in 2000 based on an Engineering Alliance Agreement between GE Aircraft Engines and Warsaw Institute of Aviation. EDC consists of two companies: GE Company Polska Ltd. and Warsaw Institute of Aviation. Currently EDC is working on the products of three GE Infrastructure businesses: GE Aviation, GE Energy, GE Oil&Gas.
Requirements:
- Master or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- experience in turbomachinery engineering design will be an advantage
- team worker, hard worker, fast-learner, open-minded person, optimistic attitude
- good knowledge of CAD software i.e. Unigraphics, Catia, SolidWorks or similar
- experience in finite element analysis
- technical drawing and design interpretation background
- Project Management skills and knowledge of quality standards required
- full responsibility for tasks taken
- intermediate (communicative) knowledge of spoken and written English
- ability to work independently and within a team environment
- strong interpersonal and communication skills
- both experienced and graduates wanted
- demonstrated communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
Duties:
- take part and manage engineering projects focusing on the analysis and design related to gas turbine selected components in order to meet business standards, procedures and technical requirements
- manage project documentation according to design procedures, engineering policies and standards
- supervision and project monitoring on a daily basis routine
- lead and take part in technical/design reviews in order to improve design process, analysis and productivity within gas turbines products
