Requirements:

Master Degree in Mechanics
experience with materials science: knowledge in the areas of rubber, plastic, corrosion protection, lubricants and metals
experience in the areas of materials testing
fluent in English, German will be advantage

Duties:

investigate new materials and test concepts acc. customer needs
provide technical expertise on materials for PD Projects
definition of requirement specifications for materials
define, plan and perform tests for the qualification of materials, perts and products
write and maintain documentation, e.g Material JED’s, test specifications and reports
plan and maintain test equipment
analyse claims
instruct supporting personnel
support of BU PD Project Teams in the selection of materials for new products
approval of materials, parts and products for PD and Supplier Development
