Requirements:
- masters degree in engineering with a specialization in international purchasing
- minimum 3 years experience as a Commodity Buyer in an industrial environment
- results orientation with strong written and oral communications skills
- ability to work in a matrixed organization
- international mind set, overseas experience a plus
- bi/multi-lingual (English required)
Duties:
- the role of a NPP Commodity Buyer is to structure the building of a supplier panel for one or more commodities and ensure the overall productivity of the panel
- the main missions of the role are to:
- structure the building of the panel: participate in the definition and the implementation of the purchasing panel policy for assigned commodities, manage supplier selection according to Group criteria
- panel management: ensure a regular follow-up of the supplier performance in relation with the Supplier
- quality Assurance Manager and implement a supplier's reduction plan consistent with Divisions and in coordination with the Business Groups
- manage the global suppliers productivity in relation with plant buyers
- develope and implement tools to improve global productivity
- negotiate and implement general agreements with the main suppliers
- ensure the utilization of the panel by program and plant buyers
- ensure the reporting of his or her activities following defined policies
