Requirements:
- master's degree in an engineering discipline
- experience in applying statistical tools to Process Improvements and Quality projects
- proven team leadership skills; ability to effectively influence and motivate others
- substantial functional experience with successful track record of results
- ability to work effectively with all levels of organization
- quantitative and analytical skills, statistically literate and familiar with Lean Six Sigma quality concepts and tools
Duties:
- Six Sigma Black Belt is a critical position within the Energy Engineering Division (EED) Quality Organization. As a Black Belt in the Global Quality part of the organization, you will be responsible for driving focused Quality improvement projects that are aligned with Goals & Objectives of the Engineering Design Center in Warsaw and Global Centers within EED. You will be executing project scope tied to the broader business objectives contributing to a global, cohesive focus and leading Green Belts certification. Effective interfacing with the Global Centers and the different EED organizations is critical to success in this role.
- Responsibilities:
- reporting to the EDC-Energy Manager and to the Global QL for EED
- work with GE Energy Businesses and customers to understand their needs, and use data to drive improvements in responsiveness and overall quality of deliverables
- utilize Lean Six Sigma tools to drive projects to realize improvements and implement best practices
- provide support and coordination to teams in education, scheduling and identifying key improvement areas
- mentor Green Belt projects across the energy team by providing expertise and leadership
- obtain Black Belt Certification through appropriate training, testing, mentoring, and project execution
