FLSmidth MAAG Gear is a member of the highly successful Danish group FLSmidth, operating in the cement and minerals industries, and a global leader in high-quality gear unit solutions. Our 280 employees and our carefully developed sales and distribution network enable us to market our various products in over 70 countries around the world.

We are currently increasing our activities in the Customer Service Department on a global level. Therefore we a looking for further Service Engineers in order to provide our Services to our customers, locally in Poland as well as international around the world.



Service Engineer



Description of the Position

The position of a Service Engineer in the local Customer Service Department includes the following activities:

  • Supervision of installation and commissioning of the gears and the auxiliary equipment, including the respective detailed reporting.
  • Arrangement of tools and other equipment in close collaboration with the customer and the local offices.
  • Service and maintenance of gears and the auxiliary equipment, including the respective detailed reporting.
  • Consultation of customers regarding required spare parts, including appropriate feedback to the Sales Department.
  • Close collaboration with the Customer Service Departments around the world.
  • Close collaboration with all other departments at FLSmidth MAAG Gear.
  • Training of the maintenance personnel during the assignment at the customer site.
  • Monitoring and improving customer satisfaction and relationship.
  • Readiness to stay in Elblag for basic training for 1-3 months.

As a Service Engineer in Customer Service Department you are travelling to the various customers in Poland as well as to all international destinations to fulfill above mentioned tasks. Travelling can be expected up to the extend of app. 200 days per year. Your base can be in the home office, with frequent travelling to the office in Elblag.

Support will be given from all other departments of FLSmidth MAAG Gear.

The Requirements

The required key experiences and knowledge areas are:

  • Degree in mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience in servicing gears is an advantage.
  • Experience with installation and maintenance of gears, clutches, couplings and oil supply units is an advantage.
  • Mechanical hands on approach.
  • Experience in the service environment.
  • "negotiation-safe" communication in English (fluent written and spoken) is of advantage.
  • Experienced in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
Personal skills:

Customer focused, action oriented, readiness for 100% travel activity, ability to work in an international team and at the same time highly motivated to work as a standalone-person, ability to make decisions, sound understanding to "local and international business culture and procedures".
