Requirements:
- at least 3 years of experience in quality or technical or production or audit or industry field
- bachelor or Master degree holder in engineering discipline
- general technical knowledge, highly recommended: wood and wood based products, furniture or home furnishing products
- ISO quality system knowledge
- quality Assurance and Quality Control methods knowledge
- fluent spoken and written English
- solid Quality Assurance technical skills
- strong communication, influencing and problem solving skills
- strong time and project management skills
- ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- experience with European standards and directives an advantage
Duties:
- ensure quality sourcing procedures are fully understood and implemented by suppliers, inspection and test agents
- work closely with Sourcing, Supply Chain and Finance teams to ensure assigned tasks are completed on-time and shipments OTIF
- liaise with internal and external Quality Assurance personnel to ensure QA specifications, requirements, other documentation and procedures are meet
- evaluate new products to ensure they comply with legal, safety and quality requirements; develop new products in conjunction with sourcing team; advise on artwork with regards to technical information (instructions, labels, barcode verification, etc.)
- handle Quality Assurance projects independently
- audit quality system of suppliers against determined criteria; ensure implementation of agreed corrective actions and monitor progress
- manage QMT database and trackers efficiently, ensuring records are accurate and up to date
- maintaining and preparing documentation, data entry in the systems
- investigate customer complaints, identify corrective actions and work with suppliers to implement them
- liaise with Inspection Agencies and Quality Control inspectors
- manage pre-shipment Quality Control inspections and evaluate results of inspections conducted by 3rd party agencies. Determine the disposition of products while communicating with inspection agents, suppliers, merchandisers and Quality Assurance Technologist
- occasionally conduct During Production Inspections and pre-shipment inspections followed by relevant report
