Requirements:

  • We are looking for an enthusiastic engineer with excellent design, technical, and software skills who enjoys working collaboratively in multi-professional design teams, taking responsibility for projects from inception to completion to achieve outstanding results

  • You will be chartered or working towards chartership with solid experience in the field of Public Health Engineering Systems for building structures

  • You will be committed to your own professional development and looking for challenging work to develop your engineering skill

Essential Skills and Knowledge:
  • A demonstrable track record of successful delivery within an Environmental Services Engineering role/environment including:
  • Above and below ground drainage systems
  • Medical and laboratory gas systems
  • Rainwater harvesting and greywater/blackwater recovery systems
  • Fire hydrant and gas suppression systems
  • Domestic water services
  • Strong track record of leading project teams
  • A clear understanding of, or experience within a consultancy environment
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Adaptable, resilient and able to work in multidisciplinary settings
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Professional, organised, and highly methodical
  • Knowledge of relevant design tools, techniques and related methods e.g. IT systems, BIM, calculation packages, etc.
  • CAD and Revit MEP management skills
  • Demonstrate an active CPD record
  • Good knowledge of wider Building Services Engineering design principles
  • Ability to think outside the specialism and integrate multidisciplinary requirements into holistic coordinated solutions
  • chartered status through CIBSE, IMechE, SoPHE or other relevant body and degree qualified; or
  • working towards Chartership with a Masters Engineering Degree or equivalent
  • experience of working in a wide variety of sectors

Duties:

  • We have an opportunity for a Public Health Engineer who is chartered or working towards chartership and looking for technically challenging work on cutting - edge projects; to join our established Building Engineering Teams in various locations

  • Our aspiration as engineers is to design market-leading, Public Health Engineering Systems that push the boundaries and create a lasting legacy. We work in an interdisciplinary environment and aim to formulate Public Health Engineering Systems that maximise value for our clients whilst minimising the environmental impact

  • You will play an active role in all stages of our projects from feasibility through to completion on diverse assignments, across a number of sectors

Key responsibilities:
  • Take an active role in building services design elements for both small and major projects working closely with other team members
  • Attend meetings and communicate with clients to establish their needs
  • Offer consultancy advice and prepare design reports, specifications and drawings in a timely fashion and within budget
  • Support graduate engineers with technical expertise and mentor less experienced team members
  • Share and expand knowledge through participation at relevant skills networks
