The Engineering Design Center (EDC) is one of General Electric (GE) global engineering sites, created in 2000 based on agreement between GE Aircraft Engines and Warsaw Institute of Aviation. EDC is providing engineering services for three GE businesses: GE Aviation, GE Energy and GE Oil&Gas. Currently we are looking for a candidate to work on a position of Technical Leader in the Advanced Mechanical Design Team for GE Aviation. www.edcpolska.pl
Requirements:
- MSc in Engineering
- minimum 3 years of experience relevant to indicated position, areas of expertise and knowledge of disciplines like: rotating parts, structures, airfoils, hydraulic systems
- testing experience would be a great asset
- fundamental understanding of the design, test and analysis tools relevant to the function
- demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills
- experience with commercial CAD/CAE package required (UG, Ansys, etc)
- team worker, hard worker, fast-learner, open-minded person, optimistic attitude
Duties:
- execute the design, analysis, tests and/or integration related to PCM Phase II project: Key Technology Maturation to meet product / program requirements
- recommend approach to meet the technical and program requirements. Implement plans to achieve technical requirements, schedules and contract commitments
- participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews
- assure proper documentation of technical data generated to substantiate the assigned components, assemblies and/or systems consistent with engineering policies and procedures
- monitor and communicate project tasks status, issues and significant developments
- participate in organizational efforts in design, analysis, test and manufacturing technology, quality, productivity and other initiatives
