Requirements:
- B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering required (Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred)
- minimum of 5 years related work experience in the following: extensive knowledge of the design of active RF/High Speed Electronics circuitry
- a working knowledge of transmission line circuitry, PCB design analysis, signal integrity and EMI is necessary
- CAD experience an advantage
- expertise in the use of analytical tools, (Mentor Graphics, Protel, ORCAD, Allegro), AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point experience required
- project management skills that demonstrate the ability to set goals and priorities to complete projects in a systematic and timely manner
- strong verbal and written communication skills that demonstrate the ability to express complex technical concepts clearly and concisely
Duties:
- responsible for identifying and justifying new product opportunities with Marketing and Sales
- product development process is “hands-on” and includes project management, concept, design, simulation, verification, analysis, characterization, qualification, to volume production of multi-gigabit copper transceivers
- will lead a multifunctional team according to the priorities set by Engineering Management
- electrical design to include schematics, PCB layout, testing, and verification of standard and custom multi-gigabit copper adapters and components.
- design experience with electromagnetic transmission lines and frequencies 1Gbps - 25Gbps
- experience with digital sampling oscilloscopes, communication analyzers, pattern generators, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and bit error rate testers required
- working knowledge of EMC/EMI tests and compliance
- interface with the high speed adapter development teams in the development and implementation of work instructions, bill of materials, and routers for new and ongoing products
- multi-discipline team includes customers, suppliers, electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, quality, and marketing
- analytical ability to apply logical reasoning, test assumptions observes results and makes corrections
